The short answer

If you’re renting or buying a Hitachi wheel loader from us, the first thing to know is that in April 2027 it becomes a Landcros. Hitachi Construction Machinery is renaming its North American excavators and wheel loaders, and nothing but the name changes. The machine, its parts, its warranty, and our service all stay the same, and you’ll see both names on our website and at our locations until the change is done. We carry the full ZW wheel loader line, from the 7,310 pound ZW30-5B to large loaders over 100,000 pounds, and fourteen of them are in our rental fleet.

What changes in April 2027, and what doesn't

A ZW loader you rent or buy from us today is the same machine after the name changes. Parts for it stay the same and keep fitting the Hitachi machines already in the field, the warranty and service coverage carry on without a break, and we keep stocking the parts and doing the service work at all three of our locations.

The ZW line

The compact ZW loaders run from the ZW30-5B at 7,310 pounds to the ZW120-7 at 18,590, with buckets from half a cubic yard to 2 cubic yards. The medium and large loaders run from 25,661 to 104,880 pounds. Their buckets start at 2.6 cubic yards, and the biggest one we rent, the ZW370-6 High Cap, carries 9.25. Our rental fleet covers the line up to the ZW370-6, and we sell the loaders above it. Our guide to wheel loader sizes lists all fourteen loaders we rent, with each one’s bucket, width, and weight, and explains how to pick the bucket by the truck and the material.

Landcros Connect

Landcros Connect, the telematics system on Hitachi/Landcros machines, shows where each machine is, reports its operating data, and sends alerts, for every one you own.

Renting and buying

All fourteen rental loaders rent with a bucket, and forks rent for the ones with 2 to 4 cubic yard buckets. Rentals don’t include an operator. Our guide to how renting works covers hours, fuel, insurance, and returns.

New ZW loaders are sold at all three of our locations, with financing and leasing through ZAXIS Finance, Hitachi’s own program. Our Finance page lists the programs we work with. Our guide to ordering parts covers what to have ready when you call, and our guide to shop or field service covers when the truck comes to you.
