Shop or Field Service: When the Truck Comes to You
When a machine is down on the job, call the nearest location and we will send a service truck. We also do scheduled maintenance at your job site, at the intervals in the operator’s manual. Engine rebuilds, welding, and the repairs that need a shop floor are done at one of our shops. Our trucks cover most of Wisconsin and into Illinois, and our technicians are factory trained and qualified to repair any make and model.
When the truck comes to you
Our service trucks carry the repair and diagnostic tools for work at your job site or your shop, and we send one for three reasons.
- A breakdown. Call the service department at the location nearest the machine. Have the model, serial number, and hour meter reading ready, and tell us what the machine is doing. If a warning light is on, read us the code. The more the technician knows before the truck leaves, the better the chance the right part is on it.
- Scheduled maintenance. Our technicians do the oil and filter changes, inspections, and fluid samples at your job site, at the intervals the manufacturer sets. Our guide to the preventive maintenance program covers what it includes.
- Remote monitoring. If your machine has telematics, we can look at it remotely, diagnose the problem before the truck leaves, and send the technician with the right parts and tools.
When the machine comes in
Some work needs a shop floor: engine rebuilds, welding, and heat and air conditioning repairs are done at our Milwaukee, Madison, and Green Bay locations. When you’re not sure which way a repair goes, call and describe the problem, and the service department decides whether to send a truck or bring the machine in.
What factory training means
Factory training means the manufacturer taught our technicians its own machines, so a repair is done the way the maker intended. Kelbe Brothers Equipment is a Takeuchi Tier 1 Service Provider, has received Link-Belt’s Triple Crown Award for customer support, and is certified by New Holland Construction as a Service Excellence Dealer. Those are the manufacturers’ own measures of a service department.
