Ordering Parts: What to Have Ready When You Call

When you call for a part, have the machine’s serial number and hour meter reading in front of you, and tell us the part you need or what the machine is doing. If we’re bringing the part out to the machine, give us the address. We’ll match the part to your machine, and you can choose genuine, aftermarket, or remanufactured.
The serial number first
Every machine has a plate with its serial number, and your operator’s manual shows where it sits on your model. Read it off the plate, not from memory, because the serial number tells us exactly which machine you have, down to the parts it was built with, so the part we hand you fits. Give us the hour meter reading too. It tells us whether the part wore out on schedule or ahead of it, and early wear is worth a look, because something else may be causing it.
If you don't know the part
Tell us what you see: where the leak drips from, what the warning light says, when the noise starts. Text a photo of the part or the plate to the location.
Genuine, aftermarket, or remanufactured
We stock all three. A genuine part is the one the machine was built with. An aftermarket part is made by another company to fit the same machine, and it costs less. A remanufactured part is a used component taken apart, rebuilt with new pieces, and tested to the original specifications, and our guide to remanufactured parts covers when that’s the better buy. Filters and fluids are the exception to shopping around: use the manufacturer’s filters and the fluids it recommends, because the machine was developed and tested on them.
What we stock
We stock parts for the undercarriage, engine, hydraulics, powertrain, fuel and cooling systems, cab and controls, and ground engaging tools, for Takeuchi, Hitachi/Landcros, Link-Belt, and New Holland machines and most other brands, and we make hydraulic hoses to order. Kelbe Brothers Equipment is a Hitachi/Kawasaki Top Stocking Dealer and has won Takeuchi’s Parts Excellence Award more than once. If a part isn’t on the shelf, our network reaches manufacturers across the country to get it fast.
If the machine is down on the job
Tell us where the machine is. Our mobile technicians deliver the part to your job site and install it there. When the breakdown needs more than a part, our guide to shop and field service covers what happens next.
