Full-Time
Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of machinery, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. You will be involved in working on engines hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance for all the brands we carry. Your expertise will directly support our customers’ productivity and reinforce our reputation for delivering exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who takes pride in their craft and is committed to excellence in heavy equipment service and repair.

Position requirements include:

  • Must provide your own professional grade tools necessary to perform repairs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency with computers, including the ability to use diagnostic software and service manuals
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical service manuals, schematics, and diagrams to perform accurate repairs and parts identification
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service, including the ability to collaborate with Service Managers and the Parts Department
  • Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job, including sitting, standing, walking, climbing on/off equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lb
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Full-Time
Responsibilities include providing customers with on-site mechanical and technical support, inspection, maintenance, and rebuilding of heavy machinery, hydraulic and electrical service maintenance, and rental fleet maintenance and repair.

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to join the sales team at our newly expanded Madison facility! You will be responsible for compact equipment sales and rentals in the region centered around Madison and Dane County. We offer a wide variety of compact equipment from industry leading manufacturers, including Takeuchi, New Holland, Hitachi, and more. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with the contractors and crews who build our communities, starting with and growing from an established account base. It is a full time, commission driven position with an excellent compensation package consisting of base salary, sales and rental commissions, manufacturer bonuses, a comprehensive benefits package, and the use of a company vehicle.

Key daily responsibilities and activities include:

  • Prospecting for new sales and rental leads via customer office, shop, and jobsite visits, utilizing substantial existing customer databases and prospecting tools
  • Maintaining existing customer relationships via visits, phone calls, and emails
  • Following up on inbound sales and rental leads
  • Securing rental business, arranging the rental internally, and executing rental contracts
  • Conducting on-site product demonstrations
  • Preparing and presenting equipment quotations and proposals
  • Working with customers on financing and payment options
  • Closing sales and finalizing sale information
  • Maintaining frequent contact with sales management
  • Coordinating after sale product support in conjunction with product support department as needed
  • Working with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Continual training and learning leveraging knowledge, experience, materials, and time from our manufacturers, internal sales team, company management and leadership, and industry and trade associations

Position requirements include:

  • Living within the sales territory
  • Outside sales/marketing experience
  • Experience with construction equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong networking skills and the drive to consistently prospect for new leads and to make cold-calls to build an account base
  • The patience, composure, and persistence to take a deal from introduction to closure
  • An assertive and positive attitude and enjoy working with people
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • The ability to give product presentations that allow for confident, competent & thorough customer interaction
  • Communicating effectively with a variety of audiences in various settings, from customers in the field to manufacturer representatives in the board room
  • Responding to occasional pop-up customer needs on nights and weekends
  • A clean driving record
